SHOCKING REVELATION: Delta State Governor Admits His Monthly Salary Is Far Lower Than A Permanent Secretary’s!.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has disclosed that his monthly salary is significantly lower than that of the state’s permanent secretaries. The revelation was made on Thursday during the commissioning of 12 four-bedroom terraced duplexes built for permanent secretaries and the presentation of official vehicles to newly appointed officials in Asaba, the state capital.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to the governor, permanent secretaries earn a monthly salary of ₦900,000, while the Head of Service earns ₦1,000,000. In contrast, the governor’s official monthly salary stands at ₦503,000. Explaining the pay structure during an event captured in a video broadcast by ARISE TV on YouTube, Oborevwori noted that the government adjusted the salaries of permanent secretaries upward after they raised concerns that certain directors were earning comparable amounts.
Highlighting his administration’s ongoing commitment to civil servant welfare, the governor detailed several initiatives:
-
Mobility Support: Official vehicles were previously distributed to serving permanent secretaries, complemented by a fresh batch of 12 vehicles given to newly sworn-in appointees.
-
Financial Assistance: A total of 302 beneficiaries have received support through the Public Officers’ Vehicle Loan Scheme, while 119 individuals benefited from the Public Officers’ Housing Loan Scheme.
-
Agricultural Empowerment: Farm inputs have been extended to civil servants interested in agriculture to foster alternative revenue sources and bolster food security.
-
Capacity Building: Through partnerships with the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, 450 senior management personnel received sponsorship for a comprehensive seven-weekend training program.
The governor also emphasized that the recent appointment of 12 permanent secretaries in May ensured equal representation across every local government area in the state. He maintained that selections were driven entirely by merit without external lobbying or recommendations.

REBELLION IN THE RANKS: Party Heavyweights Clash Over Campaign Strategy!.
The All Progressives Congress chapter in Adamawa State has formally refuted allegations that its gubernatorial flagbearer, Tijani Galadima, intentionally boycotted the state-level unveiling ceremony for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign held in Yola. Rumors had circulated suggesting that Galadima deliberately snubbed the event due to internal political friction and speculations regarding potential substitutions on the party ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Addressing these claims through media statements, the state party leadership clarified that the gubernatorial candidate’s absence was entirely official and pre-arranged, driven by critical party business outside the state. Representatives explained that Galadima was attending an official party consultation meeting in Abuja that had been scheduled prior to the release of the presidential campaign launch timetable. According to the party, both engagements formed a crucial part of the comprehensive strategy designed to secure electoral success, dismissing the rumors as mere distractions propagated by political detractors to project artificial disunity within their ranks.

THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN: Why The Opposition’s Biggest Threat Might Be Coming From Within!.
The G-100 coalition, representing a bloc of one hundred Nigerian citizens, issued a formal appeal to major opposition figures urging them to consolidate behind a single presidential contender. This strategic push is designed to prevent a fractured opposition landscape, which they argue would severely undermine any collective effort to challenge the incumbent administration. Prominent leaders named in the appeal include high-profile figures from various political platforms, all of whom are being called upon to set aside individual ambitions to form a unified front.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Efforts to forge a cohesive opposition alliance have faced significant hurdles. Initial attempts to build a unified movement involved multiple stakeholders across different political platforms. However, internal disagreements, strategic divergences, and legal disputes ultimately led key figures to chart separate courses. While foundational discussions initially aimed to prevent vote-splitting, competing interests and structural disagreements within the participating parties complicated the consensus-building process.
Ambition Versus Collective Strategy
A central tension within the opposition movement revolves around the balancing act between personal political aspirations and national coalition goals. Analysts and political actors have expressed skepticism regarding the feasibility of major candidates voluntarily relinquishing their presidential bids. While representatives for some key figures maintain that cooperation remains essential and open to constructive dialogue, they emphasize that any alliance must be rooted in a transparent and equitable framework rather than swift, top-down announcements.
Voter Dynamics and Grassroots Realization
Beyond the agreement of political elites, the viability of a unified opposition depends heavily on grassroots reception. Observers note that leadership alignments at the top do not automatically guarantee the seamless transfer of loyalty among diverse voter bases. Historical voting patterns illustrate substantial backing for multiple opposition figures, raising questions about whether supporters of individual candidates would readily rally behind a consensus alternative selected by party elites.
