Halima Kazaure, the former wife of Bashir El-Rufai—son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai—recently opened up about the dissolution of her marriage and her journey as a single mother to twin boys.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a personal Substack essay published on Wednesday titled “Memoirs of a Single Nigerian Twin Mum with ADHD,” Kazaure revealed that her marriage ended in 2024 when her twins were two years old. She opened up about divorce, motherhood, heartbreak, and the emotional toll of trying to project strength while battling private difficulties.

Reflecting on her journey, she admitted to having deep-seated doubts about marriage from a young age due to the relationships she witnessed growing up.

“I became a single mother when my boys were two. My marriage ended in 2024. The truth is that I had never had much faith in marriage… Somewhere inside me, I think I knew my marriage would end before it even began. Imagine entering a marriage already preparing for its funeral,” she wrote.

Despite her initial lack of faith in men, Kazaure noted that her belief in love remained intact, leading her to trust and hope again following her divorce, even after facing subsequent heartbreak. She also humorously touched upon her fondness for wearing white—despite being clumsy—drawing a parallel to the popular adage that “men will stain your white.”

“WE ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD!” Mikel Arteta Unleashes Fearless Ambition As Arsenal’s Title Charge Begins!.

The Spanish manager made this statement just a day before Arsenal’s opening fixture of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign on Friday, August 21.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that the Gunners will kick off their title defense at home against newly-promoted Coventry. This milestone marks the first time in 22 years that Arsenal enters a new English top-flight season as defending champions.

The occasion also signifies the dawn of a new era following Pep Guardiola’s resignation from Manchester City at the conclusion of the previous campaign, having secured six Premier League titles during his tenure. Arteta, who previously worked under Guardiola before taking the helm at Arsenal in 2019, expressed full confidence in matching that high standard of success.

Speaking to Sky Sports this week, Arteta outlined the club’s lofty aspirations:

“It’s certainly the ambition of the club and the owners to be the best club in the world. In order to do that, you need the best facilities, the best stadium, the best supporters, and you need the best squad and the best players in the world. That’s what we try to build with the actual players that we have, and with the players that we want to sign to make the difference for Arsenal.”

Notably, Arsenal has not secured consecutive English league titles since the 1930s—a feat that eluded even Arsène Wenger’s legendary “Invincibles.” Although last season ended with a narrow penalty shootout defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League final, Arteta remains heavily driven to build upon the club’s recent progress.

“It’s very difficult. You have to raise the level from every angle,” Arteta concluded. “When I look into the eyes of my players, I see that fire, that desire and the will to be better every single day.”

The standard-bearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has announced that regardless of the outcome, next year’s polls will mark his final bid for the presidency.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that the former Vice President made the declaration during a live session on Facebook on Thursday, reflecting on his previous runs for the nation’s highest office.

During the session, Atiku also reiterated criticisms regarding President Bola Tinubu’s academic credentials, maintaining his stance that questions surrounding the qualification remain unresolved and unacceptable for a sitting leader.

Additionally, the former Vice President pledged to reintroduce the petrol subsidy if elected, arguing that the current administration’s removal of the policy has placed an undue economic burden on citizens without delivering visible corresponding benefits. While President Tinubu initially terminated the subsidy in May 2023 to free up resources for infrastructure and governance, Atiku stated that his perspective on the policy shifted after assessing its severe consequences on everyday living costs.

THE BATTLE OF TITANS: Presidency Breaks Silence On High-Stakes Showdown With Catholic Cleric!.

Temitope Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has clarified that his recent remarks addressing Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, were not intended to show disrespect to the cleric or the broader Christian community.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that Cardinal Onaiyekan, accompanied by a delegation from the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), had previously met with President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja to discuss critical national matters, including insecurity, the state of education, democratic principles, and rising poverty.

During a subsequent interview on Arise TV, Onaiyekan shared details of the private exchanges between the president and the bishops regarding the economy. In response at the time, Ajayi publicly criticized the cleric, describing his decision to reveal details of a closed-door meeting as “an abuse of clerical privilege.”

However, during a follow-up appearance on ARISE TV on Thursday, Ajayi explained that his initial comments were meant to offer a different perspective on the narrative rather than undermine the cardinal’s esteemed position in society or the church.

Affirming that the issue has been put to rest, the presidential aide stated:

“Well, I think that episode has been closed. Cardinal Onaiyekan is a respected clergy and a statement in his own right. My response to him did not in any way disrespect him or disrespect his standing in society and the church. He’s one of the leaders of the faith… I only tried to provide a different perspective from his own account of the bishop’s encounter with the president, and I think that point has been made. And I think it’s not something we really want to dwell further on.”
