Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Adeleke explained that his support stems from regional solidarity and a desire to see continued infrastructure development across the South-West. He added that he remains open to collaborating with members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to support the President’s campaign when the time comes.

Adeleke also expressed willingness to work with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including his opponent, Bola Oyebamiji, and former governor Gboyega Oyetola, in support of Tinubu.

He stated, “Well, as long as it’s … I’m doing it for Mr. President. So I wouldn’t mind; I will work with them.”

Adeleke emphasised that he would support Tinubu in whatever capacity the President required when the 2027 campaign begins.

He added, “Whenever Mr President, when it’s time for him to campaign and all that, whatever, how he wants me to come in, I will do it.”

“Politics is not a do-or-die affair. The people have spoken; democracy has prevailed,” Salaam said.

He congratulated Adeleke on his victory and wished him a successful second term.

The ADC candidate also urged the governor to use his renewed mandate to address shortcomings recorded during his first term while consolidating on areas where his administration had made progress.

According to Salaam, governance remains a continuous process requiring leaders to constantly assess their performance and make necessary improvements.

He called on Adeleke to govern beyond partisan considerations and ensure that residents across the state benefit from his administration.

Salaam expressed hope that the governor’s second term would deliver greater development, peace and prosperity.
