“Monitor Their Votes!”: Senator Fadahunsi Embroiled In Shocking New Audio Scandal.

Published

on

Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East, has become the center of a fresh controversy following comments he allegedly made to voters at his polling unit during the Osun State governorship election on Saturday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a video that has circulated online, the lawmaker was recorded instructing his supporters to monitor the vote. He was quoted as saying, “Whoever does not vote appropriately is not an indigene of Ilase-Ijesa,” before issuing further directives to those in his immediate vicinity.

This statement has drawn a sharp reaction from the Imole Campaign Council, which accused the senator of attempting to unduly influence voters during the electoral process.

According to Vanguard, the campaign council, through its spokesman Pelumi Olajengbesi, condemned Fadahunsi’s remarks as “scandalous, unacceptable and undemocratic.” The council also urged security agencies to investigate the senator’s conduct to guarantee that voters can exercise their franchise free from intimidation or interference.

Previous ‘Kill Accord’ Comment Sparks Backlash

This new controversy erupts just days after Senator Fadahunsi faced severe criticism over another viral video recorded at a political event in Ilesa. In that earlier footage, the senator was accused of directing his supporters to “kill” members of the opposition Accord Party.

That statement triggered widespread public outrage, with many labelling it inflammatory and capable of inciting political violence. In response to the backlash, the Osun State Police Command invited Fadahunsi for questioning regarding the remarks.

Amnesty International also condemned the statement and demanded accountability, stating it would use the incident to further its campaign against inflammatory political rhetoric.

Fadahunsi, however, later denied that he called for physical attacks on members of the Accord Party. He claimed that the phrase “kill Accord” was a figure of speech intended to encourage his supporters to defeat the opposition party decisively at the ballot box. He maintained his message was to “kill Accord with votes” rather than resort to violence.

“HE IS OUR BROTHER, NOT OUR ENEMY!” Labour Party Drops Massive Peace Olive Branch Over Peter Obi!

on

The Ebonyi State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has called on the Minister of Works and former state governor, David Umahi, to prioritize infrastructure development and governance instead of engaging in what it views as divisive political attacks against former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi. The party urged Umahi to halt personal criticisms and allow Ebonyi residents the freedom to make their own political choices ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The official statement was signed jointly by key LP candidates for 2027, including governorship candidate Splendour Oko Eze, House of Representatives candidate Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, and senatorial candidates Henry Udeh and Ogbodo Nwede Mitchell Nwabueze Michael.

Key Points and Appeals from the Labour Party

  • Preservation of Regional Ties: The LP cautioned leaders and Ndigbo across Nigeria and the diaspora against rhetoric that could damage deep-rooted social, cultural, and commercial relationships between Ebonyi and Anambra, asserting that Anambra people do not treat Ebonyi citizens as second-class citizens.

  • Interdependence and Commerce: Highlighting historical ties, the party pointed to prominent Anambra businessmen—such as Arthur Eze, Cletus Ibeto, and Innocent Chukwuma (Innoson)—who have contributed significantly to economic development in Ebonyi.

  • Stance on Peter Obi: Reaffirming strong regional solidarity, the party explicitly declared: “Peter Obi remains our brother, not our enemy”.

  • Focus on Ministerial Duties: The LP urged Umahi to concentrate on delivering critical national infrastructure—such as the Enugu-Abakaliki Federal Highway and the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway—instead of driving political divisions. They also raised local concerns over how the Vanco Flyover project in Abakaliki has disrupted local traders and businesses.

  • Street Renaming Controversy: Addressing criticisms regarding the alleged removal or renaming of Abakaliki Street in Anambra State, the party noted that Obi should not be held accountable for decisions made by subsequent administrations.

  • Prioritizing the People: The party urged political leaders across the South-East (Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia, and Ebonyi) to look past partisan interests and avoid letting zoning debates overshadow vital issues like poverty, economic empowerment, and good governance.
