“60 Days To Justice? NSIB Fast-Tracks Anthony Joshua Accident Report, Promising Answers Soon!”.

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has announced that it will publish its final report on the fatal road accident involving former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua within the next 30 to 60 days.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

NSIB Director-General Alex Badeh Jr. made this disclosure on Friday during a virtual meeting with transport journalists. He stated that the bureau has completed its investigation and, as mandated by law, has submitted its findings to the relevant stakeholders for review.

“The report on Anthony Joshua’s accident should be out to the public in the next 30 to 60 days. We have submitted our findings to the relevant authorities as required by law. It’s after this that we can then release it to the public,” Badeh explained.

The NSIB is legally required to circulate a draft of its findings to appropriate stakeholders before publishing the final report, allowing those involved to submit observations for consideration.

Badeh also expressed concerns regarding the level of cooperation the NSIB received from the Nigeria Police during the investigation. While acknowledging some assistance from the police, he described it as falling short of the bureau’s expectations.

“On the police, we didn’t receive enough cooperation from them, but we received some. We would have loved to receive more from them and other necessary agencies,” he said.

The NSIB chief noted that the police view themselves as the primary statutory authority for investigating road traffic accidents, a stance that has led to long-standing disagreements between them and the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Badeh emphasized that the NSIB conducts safety investigations with a distinctly different objective. The bureau’s focus is on identifying causal factors to prevent future accidents, rather than determining criminal responsibility or assigning blame.

He added that the NSIB is working to strengthen its relationships with the police and other relevant agencies. He expressed hope that the appointment of Nuhu Ribadu, a former police officer, as National Security Adviser could help improve inter-agency cooperation.

The fatal crash occurred on December 29, 2025, near Makun, Ogun State, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. While Anthony Joshua survived with minor injuries, two members of his team, Sina Ghami and Kevin “Latif” Ayodele, tragically died.

Joshua has since returned to the boxing ring, recently defeating Kristian Prenga via a second-round knockout in July, despite being knocked down twice during the fight. The British-Nigerian boxer dedicated this victory to the memories of Ghami and Ayodele.

FG Reveals How $500m Was Raised For Murtala Muhammed Airport Reconstruction

Published

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has disclosed that the $500 million allocated for the reconstruction of the old terminal at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, was sourced from proceeds following the removal of the fuel subsidy.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Keyamo made the disclosure on Monday in Lagos during the 67th anniversary celebration of Aero Contractors.

According to the minister, the removal of the subsidy improved liquidity and contributed to an increase in the country’s foreign reserves, enabling the Federal Government to raise the funds within less than two years.

He said years of subsidy regimes had placed significant pressure on government finances and contributed to the deterioration of critical infrastructure across the country.

Keyamo explained that the Federal Government’s decision to remove fuel and foreign exchange subsidies had created greater fiscal space for investment and infrastructure development, particularly in the aviation sector.

He said the government had mobilised funds for several major aviation projects, including the ongoing reconstruction of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and runway rehabilitation projects in Kano, Port Harcourt and Akure.

The minister noted that the Lagos airport reconstruction project had also created employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerians working in construction and related services.

According to him, sustainable economic growth depends on continuous investment in infrastructure, while job creation can be driven by major development projects and expansion of the private sector.

Speaking on reforms in the aviation industry, Keyamo highlighted measures designed to strengthen local airlines. These include Nigeria’s implementation of the Cape Town Convention and the establishment of the International Registry system, which he said would improve Nigerian airlines’ access to aircraft leasing.

He added that the reforms were already encouraging more states to establish airlines and expand regional operations, citing the growth of routes operated by carriers such as Ibom Air and Enugu-based operators.

Keyamo also announced plans to improve connectivity to airports, including a proposed extension of the Lagos Red Line rail system to connect Ikeja with the General Aviation Terminal and the new international terminal at Murtala Muhammed Airport.

“I Can’t Date Nollywood Actresses” – Hanks Anuku Reveals His Reason.

Published

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed that he would rather date someone outside the Nigerian movie industry than pursue a romantic relationship with a Nollywood actress.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Anuku made this known while speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he discussed his reservations about relationships within the entertainment industry.

The actor said he had become uncomfortable with some of the lifestyle and activities associated with the industry, making him reluctant to date anyone working in the sector.

According to Anuku, the prevalence of flirtation and the changing process through which some people gain entry into Nollywood have made it difficult for him to determine who he can trust when choosing a partner.

The veteran actor also expressed concerns about how individuals now secure opportunities in the movie industry.

He recalled that actors in his early years had to undergo certain screening processes before gaining recognition, but said the situation has changed, with some people now getting opportunities through personal connections with producers.

“I’m not going to go out with anyone in the industry; I would rather go look for a stranger somewhere else. There are certain things in that industry. The flirts are everywhere, and when a woman is a flirt, you’re not sure if she’s clean or not,” Anuku said.

He added, “I thank God I don’t have any disease from whatever it is. It’s a bit too dirty for me now to go out with anyone over there, because everybody can come up and say, ‘I want to be an actress,’ because she knows somebody who is a producer. If a woman is clean, you would know.”
