She stated that this “fake life” likely caused the kidnappers to inflate their ransom demands from an initial ₦700 million to a staggering ₦1.5 billion.
Highlighting the family’s actual financial standing, Blessing revealed that they are heavily indebted, including a ₦40 billion debt owed to FCMB, alongside struggles with Union Bank. She also alleged that Jowizaza had previously mismanaged their father’s business—resulting in his removal as a director—and questioned how he could agree to such high ransom figures when the family lacks liquid funds.
Emphasizing that her father requires medication, Blessing defended her decision to speak out, explaining that she needed to correct the narrative so the abductors realize the family cannot afford the exorbitant sums demanded.
