    • According to Sunday PUNCH reports, the late-night gathering was prompted by an intelligence briefing from National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, which warned that numerous influential stakeholders felt excluded from party affairs and campaign activities.

    • Meeting participants disclosed that the session provided a platform to voice grievances directly to the President, specifically highlighting concerns over federal appointments allegedly favoring loyalists of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

    • President Tinubu urged the aggrieved leaders to set aside their internal divisions, reconcile, and fully back the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, emphasizing that collective defeat would harm the broader progressive fold.

    • While APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru coordinated the stakeholders for the high-level meeting, Osun APC Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Olabisi, acknowledged that the critical reconciliation gathering took place.
