The Ultimate Cash Sweep: Kalu Tells Tinubu To Pardon Looters Holding Billions Hostage In Abuja Houses.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North, has called on President Bola Tinubu to offer an amnesty window allowing individuals accused of looting public funds to voluntarily return the money without facing prosecution.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
proposed that President Tinubu grant former Nigerian leaders accused of corruption a two-year period to return their stolen funds in exchange for a full pardon.
Kalu argued that billions of Naira are currently stashed away in private residences across Abuja, remaining outside the formal banking system and doing nothing to support the national economy.
He stated: “President Tinubu should give people pardon, because between the houses in Abuja, if you search all the houses, you might have over 50, 60 billion lying down there. People who keep money in their houses, and it’s not right; it’s not the right thing to do. It’s not in the banking system that could have helped this economy to grow.”
He added, “So I would like President Tinubu to give a window of two years and say, no matter from 1960, no matter where you keep the money, return it to Nigeria, nobody will touch you. You are pardoned. So let people repatriate this money and use it for the benefit of this economy.”

World Football In Tears: Jorge Messi Passes Away At 68, Leaving An Unfillable Void
Jorge Messi, the father and longtime representative of Argentina captain Lionel Messi, has passed away at the age of 68. His death was reported on Saturday by MARCA, citing Infobae, after he reportedly died around 10 p.m. on Friday at a medical facility in Rosario following a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife, Celia Cuccittini, and their four children: Lionel, Rodrigo, Matias, and Maria Sol.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Jorge played a foundational role in shaping Lionel’s life and career from a young age. When Lionel was diagnosed with a growth-related condition and local treatment options fell through, Jorge helped orchestrate his relocation to Barcelona at 13 years old. He stayed with his young son in Spain during the difficult transition while the rest of the family remained in Rosario. Reflecting on those hardships in a 2007 interview, Lionel recalled that his father gave him the choice to return to Argentina, but when Lionel chose to stay, Jorge remained by his side—a pivotal turning point in his rise to football history.
As Lionel’s career flourished, Jorge transitioned into managing his business and professional affairs, handling high-profile negotiations while keeping a low public profile and rarely giving interviews. Reflecting on their journey, Jorge once noted that their shared struggles had forged a stronger family bond, praising Lionel not just as a great player but as an exceptional person.
Anxieties surrounding his health initially surfaced during the 2026 World Cup when Lionel grew visibly emotional after an opening-match hat-trick, attributing his tears to complicated personal and family circumstances. Although the family later stated he was under medical care and recovering at the time, his condition ultimately led to his passing. Before managing his son’s career, Jorge worked as a chemical technician and manager at the Argentine steel company Acindar in the 1980s, and had played youth football as a midfielder for Newell’s Old Boys before stepping away due to military service.

The Digital Plot Revealed: Investigators Uncover High-Tech Secrets Behind The Coup Probe.
-
Digital Communications in the Probe: Military investigators probing the alleged 2025 plot to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration have uncovered that suspects used WhatsApp and a privacy-centric app named Zangi to coordinate.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Features of Zangi: While WhatsApp is ubiquitous in Nigeria, Zangi is a lesser-known platform boasting end-to-end encryption, on-device message storage rather than server storage, and registration using private Zangi numbers instead of mobile phone numbers.
-
Defendant’s Account: Retired Navy Captain Erasmus Victor, who is facing a 13-count treason charge alongside five others at the Federal High Court in Abuja, revealed in an extrajudicial statement that Army Colonel Mohammed Ma’aji introduced him to Zangi for secure communication. Victor admitted to downloading the app to communicate with Ma’aji and Lt. Col. Shamsuddeen Bappah, but denied joining the conspiracy.
-
Allegations and Denials: Investigators alleged Victor was tasked with securing financial support from potential backers, including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike (whom Victor previously served under as local government chairman), but Victor stated he never reached out to Wike or others, dismissing the plot initially while regretting not reporting it.
-
Evidence and Legal Challenges: Thousands of pages of evidence—including printouts of electronic messages, financial records, meetings, and witness statements—have been gathered since the plot’s discovery in September 2025. While end-to-end encryption secures data in transit, investigators can still recover digital trails from devices depending on settings. Meanwhile, defendants are challenging the admissibility of their extrajudicial statements, claiming legal safeguards were ignored, a move the prosecution is opposing.
