Additionally, a shipment of 2.3 kg of “Loud” synthetic cannabis from the United States was seized at a shipping firm.

• Interstate Seizures: Along the Akure-Ilesha expressway, a truck carrying 1,633 kg of skunk concealed in rice shaft bags was intercepted, leading to two arrests, alongside a separate 147 kg recovery in the Ita Ogbolu forest.

• Warehouse and Forest Raids: Raids in Oyo State’s Elebure village and Edo State’s Owan West LGA uncovered 731.03 kg and 604.5 kg of skunk respectively, alongside major operations resulting in arrests and drug seizures in Abia State and Lagos’s Badagry fibre market.

• Port Inspections: At the Tincan port complex in Lagos, a joint container examination with customs officials led to the discovery of 309.4 kg of cannabis-infused cookies and gummies packed across 73 cartons.

Alongside these enforcement actions, NDLEA formations nationwide sustained their War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization campaigns through lectures and advocacy visits to schools, universities, and community centers. NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd) commended the various commands for their successful operations and urged personnel to maintain a balanced approach to national drug control.
