Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar has fired back at President Tinubu, advising him to concentrate on governance rather than political grandstanding ahead of 2027.

Atiku’s reaction—released via a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu—came in response to President Tinubu’s remark that he would “wrestle his opponents to the finish,” a statement made during a meeting with Catholic Bishops at the State House in Abuja.

The former Vice President labeled the President’s comments as the “lamentation of a drowning man,” accusing him of using rhetoric to distract citizens from his administration’s poor performance and criticizing the timing of the remarks in the face of calls for free and fair elections.
