BOMBSHELL: Umahi Declares War On Peter Obi’s Candidacy, Begs Southeast And Nigeria To REJECT Him!
Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has called upon the people of the Southeast and all Nigerians to vote against the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking during an inspection tour of the Trans-Saharan Highway and other legacy projects spanning from Cross River to Abuja, Umahi stated that he welcomes the criticism resulting from his stance against Obi, and reaffirmed his commitment to actively oppose Obi’s presidential bid.
The former Ebonyi State governor grounded his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid on the administration’s significant infrastructural development across the country, particularly within the Southeast region. Expressing confidence that all projects initiated under Tinubu will be completed during a projected second term, Umahi argued that the Southeast must avoid the “risk” of electing another candidate.
He stated: “They have been insulting me. But I enjoyed this honestly because it shows that what I’m doing is touching them. But there are some of them that are also reasonable. They say the only thing is that you’re attacking Peter Obi.”
”I say, no, I’m not attacking Peter Obi. I’m asking people in Southeast and Nigeria not to vote for him but to vote for President Bola Tinubu…And I have my facts.”
Umahi further contrasted Tinubu’s approach with past administrations, suggesting that new leadership often leads to abandoned projects. “All the projects awarded by Tinubu will be completed. In the second tenure of Mr. President, let us not take risks. Don’t forget that any other person coming, you have to start with negotiating abandoned projects is not new in this country. But under President Tinubu, there will be no abandoned project. All these projects, all legacy projects, will be completed.”
He specifically pointed to the Enugu-Onitsha expressway as a prime example of the administration’s success, stating it will be fully completed by December with modern features like solar lighting and reinforced concrete pavements, adding that tolling will be implemented for maintenance and security patrols.
Umahi concluded by commending the project teams and encouraging presidential aides to spread this message of infrastructure success to community leaders and members.

BOMBSHELL: Tobi Amusan Confesses Secret Injury Cost Her Commonwealth Games Gold!.
.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has disclosed that a significant injury sustained just days before the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow prevented her from successfully defending her women’s 100m hurdles title.
The world record holder finished in 12.60 seconds, securing the bronze medal. Devynne Charlton of the Bahamas took gold with a time of 12.33 seconds, while Jamaica’s Megan Simmons claimed silver in 12.41 seconds.
Following the race, Amusan explained that a heavy fall during a training camp had raised serious concerns about her fitness leading up to the event.
“I had a pretty bad fall at training camp, so I’ve been a bit concerned about my knee coming into this meet. But I’m just thankful i was able to hold it together and get on the podium once again,” Amusan stated.
The Nigerian athlete also noted that the chilly Glasgow weather was an additional challenge, complicating the management of a pre-existing health condition.
“It was a little cold out there. I’m anemic, so I try to stay warm every opportunity I get. I did my best to make sure I kept myself warm before the race,” she added.
Despite the setback, Amusan remained focused on performance rather than dwelling on the circumstances.
“The last time I felt something, I just focused on preparing for the race instead of trying to make excuses. Honestly, with what I’m dealing with right now, I just want to go and get treatment, and then we’ll see what happens next.”
Amusan’s bronze medal contributed to Nigeria’s overall performance at the Games. As of the latest standings, Team Nigeria sits in fifth place on the medals table with a total of 16 medals: eight gold, five silver, and three bronze.
Australia currently dominates the standings with 112 total medals, including 51 gold. England is second with 66 medals, followed by Canada in third with 46. Host nation Scotland is fourth with 26 medals, just ahead of Nigeria. South Africa, Malaysia, and New Zealand round out the top eight nations.

BOMBSHELL: Ex-Governor Timipre Sylva Reportedly Linked To Funding PLOT To Overthrow President Tinubu!.
Investigative documents obtained by Premium Times have revealed fresh allegations detailing how former Bayelsa State governor and ex-Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, allegedly became a key financier in a failed conspiracy to topple the administration of President Bola Tinubu.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The investigation, drawing from over 7,400 pages of case files assembled for the prosecution of suspects, indicates that Sylva’s alleged financial backing was a critical turning point for the alleged plotters, who had previously struggled to secure necessary funding.
While the former governor has categorically denied any involvement, five of his former aides and domestic workers are currently being prosecuted in Abuja for allegedly withholding information regarding his whereabouts. A number of serving and retired military officers, along with civilians, are also facing court-martial and Federal High Court proceedings in connection with the alleged scheme.
The Colonel’s Testimony
The alleged leader of the plot, Col. Mohammed Ma’aji of the Nigerian Army, reportedly provided detailed accounts of his relationship with Sylva during interviews and in handwritten statements to investigators.
Ma’aji indicated he first met Sylva when he was an Army captain, though he did not specify the exact date. Investigators believe their connection may have been forged during Ma’aji’s deployment to the Niger Delta region, possibly intersecting with military security operations against oil theft and militancy.
From Reluctance to Commitment
According to Colonel Ma’aji, he initially approached Sylva for financial support after facing pressure from other members of the group. Ma’aji claimed Sylva immediately rejected the proposal, stating, “Col., please I don’t want to hear about this,” and asserting his disinterest in military affairs.
However, Ma’aji alleged that Sylva contacted him weeks later, seeking more information about the plot, its chances of success, and its existing financial backing.
Ma’aji stated that Sylva eventually concluded that military intervention was necessary due to the state of the country. The colonel alleged that Sylva expressed deep disappointment with the political class, confessing that politicians had “failed” and questioning whether the current crop possessed the “patriotic zeal” required to fix Nigeria. Sylva also reportedly mentioned sending his children abroad due to the nation’s unfavourable conditions.
The Money Trail
Investigators reportedly traced a total of ₦785 million in funding to Sylva, marking it as the largest contribution to the alleged plot.
Ma’aji explained that Sylva agreed to provide the funds but insisted on a complex transaction method designed to distance him from the money. The funds were allegedly transferred first to an Abuja construction company, Purple Waves Limited, and then moved through the account of a bureau de change (BDC) operator.
Ma’aji stated he suggested using the account of his friend, Alhaji Aminu, a BDC operator who was reportedly unaware of the source or purpose of the funds. According to the colonel, Alhaji Aminu confirmed receiving over ₦400 million in alerts just before Ma’aji’s arrest.
Motivations and Denial
Colonel Ma’aji reportedly cited stagnation in his own military career—specifically failing promotion exams to brigadier general in 2023 and 2024—as a factor contributing to his involvement in the plot.
In response to the allegations, Sylva’s spokesperson, Julius Bokoru, issued a statement in October 2025 vehemently denying any connection to the plot. Bokoru described Sylva as a “thoroughbred democrat” with unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu, pointing to Sylva’s mobilization of the Bayelsa APC to endorse the President as evidence.
Furthermore, the statement dismissed the allegations as politically motivated “rumours” orchestrated by “desperate and narcissistic politicians” ahead of the 2027 elections.
Currently, Sylva is believed to be outside Nigeria. While he has not been formally arrested or separately charged in the case, the Federal Government has secured an interim forfeiture order for nine assets allegedly connected to him.

THE KIDNAP PLOT TWIST: Governor Makinde Opens Up On Wild Allegations That He Was Behind Oyo Abruptions.
Governor Makinde Establishes Judicial Inquiry into Oriire Abductions to Vindicate Administration and Uncover Truth....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has inaugurated a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the recent abduction of students and teachers in the Esiele and Yawata communities of Oriire Local Government Area.
During the inauguration ceremony in Ibadan on Friday, Governor Makinde stated that a primary objective of the commission is to clear his administration’s name. He expressed deep concern that the tragic incident had been politicized, with some critics making “wild allegations” that his government had masterminded the kidnappings.
“They said I orchestrated the kidnap,” Makinde lamented. He asserted that the abduction of the children and teachers was not just an attack on the specific communities but a direct assault on the fundamental right of every Nigerian child to learn in safety, and a violation of parental trust.
While acknowledging the relief felt by all following the victims’ eventual rescue, the governor emphasized that the government’s duty extends far beyond securing their freedom.
“Rescue brings relief. But truth brings closure. Accountability and reform restore public confidence and help prevent a recurrence,” he declared.
Governor Makinde shared a personal family reflection to underscore the profound impact of the tragedy and the necessity for a comprehensive investigation. He posited a hypothetical scenario involving his own father, a former teacher, noting that if his father had been kidnapped and killed, he himself would never have been born.
It was this deep-seated conviction that led him to call for an independent examination of the incident—a call, he clarified, that was never intended to undermine the efforts of local security agencies, whose sacrifices he acknowledged and appreciated. Instead, the goal is to ensure that every lesson is learned and every legitimate question is answered.
The governor outlined the clear mandate of the commission:
-
Establish the facts surrounding the abduction.
-
Identify any institutional or operational lapses.
-
Recommend concrete measures to strengthen the protection of schools and communities.
-
Ensure such a tragedy is never repeated.
Makinde praised the commission members for their willingness to serve, acknowledging that they accepted the difficult assignment despite the politically charged atmosphere.
He charged the panel to conduct its work with “impartiality, professionalism, and strict adherence to the law,” guided solely by evidence and the public interest.
The commission has been given four weeks to submit its report, with the governor assuring them that additional time would be granted if necessary to ensure a completely thorough investigation. He pledged full government support and urged all relevant individuals and institutions to cooperate with the panel.
