According to an official statement released by the State Head of Service, Dr. Inyingi Brown, the newly appointed officials are Freddy Ndigbara, Fortune Akpila, Promise Oguzie, Ibisoye Lolomari Nwankwo, Ibiyemiebara Joseph Uzoma, and Mercy Dagogo Iboroma. Dr. Brown noted that the swearing-in ceremony will be officiated by Governor Fubara on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, inside the State Executive Council Chambers.
Meanwhile, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has addressed recent political developments, stating that Governor Fubara did no wrong by reconciling with his original political camp. Speaking to journalists on Tuesday following an inspection of FCT road projects, the former Rivers governor emphasized that Fubara simply returned to the political structure that ushered him into office.
Dismissing the notion that the reconciliation was an act of seeking forgiveness, Wike stated: “I don’t know what you mean by sin. In politics, there is no sin. If someone realises they made a mistake and decides to correct it, there is nothing wrong with that. Politics is not a sin. What matters is recognising that you were on the wrong path and making the right decision.”
