    • The Valuation: According to SPORT via Yahoo Sports, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is holding firm on the £137 million asking price, even though the winger has entered the final year of his contract and talks have stalled.

    • Record Wages: talkSPORT reports that the Gunners are prepared to make Vinicius the highest-paid player in club history. The 26-year-old is seeking around £470,000 per week—nearly double his current Real Madrid salary—which would easily surpass Bukayo Saka’s £300,000-plus weekly earnings.

    • The Pitch: Securing the forward would shatter Arsenal’s transfer record. Vinicius brings an elite pedigree to the Emirates, having tallied 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 matches for Los Blancos, alongside a strong four-goal showing in five games at the summer FIFA World Cup.

    • Squad Plans: While Arsenal recently added Christos Tzolis and continue searching for attacking reinforcements before the window shuts, a deal for Vinicius would easily represent one of the largest financial commitments in the club’s history.

Obi had recently stated his intention to unite the country if he wins the 2027 presidency. In response, Nwabufo released a signed statement dismissing Obi’s remarks and arguing that the opposition candidate demonstrates a fundamental lack of governance experience. He characterized Obi’s statements as “sentimental nothings” devoid of any concrete policy or plan for Nigeria.

Nwabufo stated:

“Peter Obi’s interview shows him again to be vacant of deep thought, understanding of governance, and taken up by syrupy rhetoric. He still has no plan, no alternative, and no policy plank, beyond a mouthful of sentimental nothings. Obi’s claim: He claimed he would unite Nigeria, but failed to explain how beyond the tired refrain of his cooks and ADC being northerners. His utterances, actions, and those of his followers have but deepened the chasm.”

The presidential aide further noted that genuine national unity relies on inclusive governance, economic integration, and equitable citizenship rather than empty promises. He maintained that true cohesion requires distributing public resources fairly to all citizens, regardless of their background, ethnicity, or faith.

Highlighting the achievements of the current administration, Nwabufo asserted that President Tinubu’s government has excelled in this area by ensuring all six geopolitical zones equitably benefit from national projects and programs. He also pointed out that the administration has advanced inclusive governance by appointing young professionals from diverse backgrounds to manage strategic sectors of government at an unprecedented level.
