Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and former ADC chieftain, Babachir Lawal, has asserted that the SGF’s office holds the primary responsibility for identifying and flagging the unauthorized Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Lawal’s perspective on the SGF’s oversight role includes:

During his own tenure, he personally attended budget defenses for the 23 agencies reporting directly to the SGF, ensuring he was fully informed of their operations.

Because the budgets of agencies reporting to the President through the SGF must pass through the SGF’s office before reaching the National Assembly, the SGF should naturally have knowledge of such entities.

Unless there is a “dereliction of duty,” the SGF should have flagged the existence of the fake agency.

He suggested that the SGF might only fail to intervene if they feel significantly “sidelined” and choose to ignore the issue.

Lawal emphasized that if he were in that position and felt sidelined, he would immediately protest the matter directly to the President.

Aliyu, who also predicted victory for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections, called on fellow opposition members, youths, and women to abandon what she termed “counterproductive politics” and align with the current administration.
Following her defection, Aliyu met with APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who officially welcomed her to the ruling party. Yilwatda praised her decision, stating in a post on X that she had “made the right switch” to join the APC’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.“
