Defense Counter-argument: Sowore’s legal team, led by Olumide Fusika, dismissed the prosecution’s argument, noting that the law allows a lawyer to testify if they withdraw from the legal team. Fusika confirmed that Adeyanju had already formally withdrawn as counsel, rendering him a competent witness.

Court Ruling: After reviewing the arguments, the court overruled the prosecution’s objection and permitted Adeyanju to continue with his testimony, confirming that his withdrawal as counsel made him eligible to testify as a witness.
