Tension Peaks! IPOB Unleashes Fury On Uwazuruike, Claiming Biafra Was Traded For Political Gain!.

Published

on

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a scathing response to former Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) leader Ralph Uwazuruike, accusing him of betraying the Biafran struggle for personal gain. The statement, released by Emekuku Unit 1 Coordinator Mazi Alex Chinonso Omenka, was a rebuttal to Uwazuruike’s recent appeal for Ohanaeze Ndigbo to caution Nnamdi Kanu against allegedly recruiting Igbo youths for violence.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Key Accusations and Rebuttals IPOB dismissed Uwazuruike’s claims as “cheap propaganda” intended to garner attention and secure political favors. The group’s response included several core arguments:

  • Allegations of Profiteering: IPOB labeled Uwazuruike a “sellout,” asserting that he has traded his conscience and the Biafran cause for wealth and favor from the Nigerian Federal Government.

  • Defense of ESN: The group clarified that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) was formed as a defensive measure against attacks by bandits and the failure of national security forces to protect the region, rather than as a mechanism for Kanu to recruit youth for violence.

  • Clarification on Movement Objectives: IPOB stated that Nnamdi Kanu’s recent leadership changes and the “100-man divine project” are focused on organizational structure and legal efforts, not violence.

  • Rejection of Amnesty Comparisons: IPOB found Uwazuruike’s comparison of IPOB members to “repentant” Boko Haram members insulting, arguing that their struggle for a referendum and self-defense cannot be equated to the actions of Boko Haram.

Stance on Nnamdi Kanu IPOB reaffirmed its commitment to Nnamdi Kanu, describing him as a steadfast leader who has endured imprisonment and torture without compromising the movement. The group concluded by stating that despite the efforts of perceived “saboteurs” and detractors, the movement remains focused on the actualization of a sovereign Biafra state.

Emphasizing that the political framework inherently favors the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) because they control state power and law enforcement apparatuses, Duke warned that division and ego among opposition figures effectively work against their own interests. Using a striking analogy, he described taking on the incumbent as trying to fight a lion that has been given horns using only a knife and fork, concluding that the opposition would end up as “dinner” without a cohesive, unified approach.

Published

on

African Action Congress (AAC) 2027 presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has cautioned citizens against falling for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s stance on reversing the fuel subsidy. Atiku, who is running under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), previously pledged to restore the subsidy if elected, arguing that the current administration’s removal of the policy has brought no advantages to the country.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In response via an X post, Sowore rejected Atiku’s remarks, asserting that the AAC remains the sole political party that has steadfastly opposed the subsidy removal from the outset. He accused Atiku and other establishment politicians of shifting their stances based on political convenience and foreign capitalist interests, stating that they should not be permitted to rewrite history or masquerade as genuine opposition figures. Sowore further claimed that it was the AAC’s unwavering position at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt that actually rattled the Tinubu government, rather than any actions from Atiku’s camp.
