“Jos Under Siege: Teenage Prostitution Explosion Grips City Hotspots, Residents Raise Alarm!”
Nana Plaza, an otherwise unassuming building at Jos’s Old Airport Junction, undergoes a troubling transformation after dark. While the plaza hosts legitimate daytime businesses, the surrounding area becomes a hub for illicit activities at night, including the sale of cigarettes and drugs by a group known as the “Michika Boys.” More alarmingly, the open space behind the plaza has become a center for teenage prostitution, with some girls as young as 14 years old trading sex for money to survive. Interviews with some of these young women reveal that they have been driven into this life by extreme circumstances, including parental neglect, displacement from their communities due to violence, poverty, and the struggle to provide for their children.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
A disturbing trend of teenage prostitution has emerged at Nana Plaza in Jos. As night falls, the area becomes a gathering place where minors engage in sex work to support themselves and their families. The individuals involved, some only 14 or 15 years old, cite a variety of desperate factors for their participation in this “skin trade,” including:
-
Abandonment and Poverty: Some, like 16-year-old Rachael, turned to prostitution after being cast out by their families following unplanned pregnancies.
-
Displacement and Violence: Others, such as 15-year-old Linda, were forced into this life after fleeing communities destroyed by bandit attacks and surviving exploitative conditions in IDP camps.
-
Peer Pressure: Girls like 18-year-old Afiniki attributed their involvement to the influence of bad companions.
Option 3: Investigative Narrative Despite its appearance as a normal commercial site during the day, Nana Plaza in Jos has become a nocturnal center for illicit trade and underage prostitution. According to testimonies from the young women working there, the decision to engage in sex work is often a desperate response to a lack of alternatives. The girls interviewed explained that they earn between ₦2,000 and ₦10,000 per night, depending on the number of clients, though they are sometimes forced to accept as little as ₦200 to afford basic needs like food. These young women expressed deep regret for their current circumstances and the choices that led them there, yet they feel they have no other options for survival. At the time of this report, government authorities had not provided comments regarding the situation.

“The End Of The Starmer Era? PM Reportedly Ready To Resign After Losing Support Of Party Leaders!”.
UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is reportedly weighing a potential resignation following significant political pressure within the Labour Party. This uncertainty follows Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham’s strong electoral win in Makerfield, which has fueled internal demands for a leadership change. While Starmer has previously expressed his intent to remain in office, associates suggest he is currently contemplating his future at Chequers to avoid party instability, with some allies estimating only a 25 percent likelihood that he continues to fight for his position. Reports indicate that high-ranking officials, including Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander, have encouraged him to prepare for an orderly transition, even as other party members warn that a forced exit could lead to electoral disaster for Labour.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Facing growing isolation and calls for a leadership transition, Prime Minister Keir Starmer is currently considering stepping down. The pressure on Starmer intensified after Andy Burnham’s decisive 55 percent victory in the Makerfield election, an outcome many in the Labour Party view as evidence that Burnham is better equipped to counter political rivals like Nigel Farage. Although Starmer’s loyalists caution that removing him could trigger chaotic government instability and strengthen the opposition, multiple MPs have described the Prime Minister as increasingly isolated, with some suggesting a planned handover is the most responsible path forward for the party and the country.
The Labour Party is currently navigating a period of internal turmoil, as Prime Minister Keir Starmer evaluates whether to resign amid deteriorating support from his own ranks. Sources close to Starmer report that he is prioritizing the stability of the government while reflecting on his political future. While some Labour lawmakers argue that Andy Burnham’s recent electoral success makes him a stronger leader for the party’s future, others fear that an immediate leadership contest would invite chaos and jeopardize the party’s standing ahead of the next general election. Despite his public commitment to “fight” to remain in power, insiders suggest that Starmer’s position has been severely weakened, leaving him to decide between continuing his tenure or facilitating an orderly departure.
