The collation process had been suspended late Tuesday, May 26, 2026, after results from 25 states and the Federal Capital Territory were announced. The Chairman of the Presidential Primary Election Committee, Ikechi Emenike, cited logistical challenges and the Eid al-Kabir celebrations as reasons for the adjournment.
Amid the collation, both Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen have rejected the overall results, alleging widespread manipulation, vote-buying, and electoral irregularities. Amaechi specifically claimed that nearly 80 percent of party members were prevented from participating and characterized the announced results as “concocted”. Despite these objections, the party proceeded with the announcement of the results at the national collation center in Abuja.
