Momodu Drops Bomb: ‘Peter Obi Left ADC Because He Knew He Couldn’t Beat Atiku’!.

Dele Momodu, a key figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has asserted that former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi quietly exited the ADC because he recognized his limited chance of success against former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in the party’s presidential primary.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Appearing on Arise TV, Momodu characterized Obi’s withdrawal and subsequent defection as a calculated and respectful move. He suggested that Obi carefully evaluated Atiku’s considerable political influence and widespread network before making his decision. Momodu emphasized that Obi was realistic about his prospects against Atiku, whom he referred to as Obi’s former political ally, stating, “That is why Peter Obi left quietly; he knew that in a race against Atiku, he had no chance. That’s why he left, and that’s more honourable. He didn’t deceive himself that he could beat his former boss.

In addition to commenting on Obi’s exit, Momodu addressed and dismissed allegations of irregularities in the ADC presidential primary raised by former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi and businessman Mohammed Hayatu-Deen. He contended that the primary was conducted properly and monitored peacefully nationwide. He remarked, “I can’t speak for both of them. I don’t know what they saw. I personally monitored a lot of the states yesterday. And we were getting feedback from the field, and I can tell you, it was well conducted, peacefully conducted.

Momodu also directed criticism towards the All Progressives Congress (APC), labelng its reported membership and voting figures during its own primary as unrealistic and exaggerated. He expressed skepticism about the feasibility of counting nearly 11 million votes in a single day, adding, “Even INEC could not have achieved that in one week. What they did was an exaggeration, and it was very shameful and disgraceful that a party in broad daylight would show how they were conducting their primary and jumping from 1,000 to 2,000 before our very eyes.
