News reports that Chief Priest had expressed interest in contesting for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general election under the APC platform.

However, the party primary held on May 16 ended with the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo, retaining the ticket after defeating other contenders.

Shortly after the results emerged online, Hellen Ati went live on Instagram, where she openly celebrated the outcome.

She was seen dancing while reacting to the development, linking his political defeat to unresolved personal issues between them.

Ati also alleged that he would continue to struggle politically unless certain responsibilities were addressed, insisting he had neglected their child for several years.

She further questioned his influence and wealth, saying it had no impact on his political success.

She said, “He missed the House of Reps guys. What did I tell you guys? What God cannot do does not exist. Until you come and do the needful. You made me go through hell. Because I cannot afford a lawyer you think you are smart.

“Pascal, I told you you can never win any election since you have left your child for three years and a half now going four years this year you have refused to take responsibility. You are calling yourself that you are rich. You have power so where is the juju or that your power? Why don’t you win the election? Why don’t you win it Pascal? It will not work for you until you come and do the needful.”
