Oyebamiji Blasts Govt: Says No Serious Administration Should Ignore Trained Professionals In Public Service.
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the August 15 Osun State election, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, has pledged to reinstate about 2,000 teachers and health workers who were disengaged from the state workforce if he is elected governor.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Oyebamiji made the commitment in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos following a meeting with over 1,500 teachers and 515 health workers who were reportedly dismissed by the Osun State Government in 2022.
He described the disengagement as unfair and unfortunate, noting that the affected workers had previously served the state diligently but were removed without payment of salaries, arrears, or adequate job security.
According to him, any government genuinely committed to development should not sideline trained professionals willing to contribute to public service.
Oyebamiji added that the mass disengagement has undermined confidence in the civil service and weakened morale in both the education and healthcare sectors.
He assured the affected workers that, if elected, his administration would prioritise their reinstatement, as well as address outstanding salary arrears and promotion benefits owed to them.
