Speaking in Ado Ekiti during the 2026 World Communications Day celebration, Bishop Fagbohun said truth remains the only foundation capable of addressing moral decline, injustice, and national disunity.

He called on journalists, lawyers, judges, medical workers, artisans, politicians, clerics, and all citizens to consistently embrace honesty and integrity, stressing that truth should never be compromised under any circumstance.

According to him, “Let journalists speak the truth, let lawyers speak the truth, let judges speak the truth, let doctors speak the truth, let clerics speak the truth, let politicians speak the truth, let artisans speak the truth, and let everybody speak the truth even at the point of death. It is only the truth that can save the nation.”

The bishop explained that World Communications Day highlights the importance of communication in promoting peace, justice, and accountability in society.

He also encouraged media practitioners to remain committed to ethical journalism, objectivity, and accurate reporting despite the challenges in the profession.

Bishop Fagbohun further urged Nigerians to make truthfulness a daily practice, noting that a society built on honesty would enjoy lasting peace, unity, and sustainable development.

Celtic entered the final day knowing only a win would be enough to overtake Hearts at the top of the table.

Hearts took the lead just before halftime when Lawrence Shankland rose highest to head home from a Stephen Kingsley corner, putting pressure on the hosts.

However, Celtic responded deep into first-half stoppage time after Arne Engels converted from the penalty spot when Kieran Tierney’s cross struck Alexandros Kyziridis’ arm.

The title race remained tense throughout much of the second half until Celtic produced a stunning late turnaround.

With just three minutes remaining, Daizen Maeda found the net from Callum Osmand’s delivery. Although the goal was initially ruled out for offside, VAR overturned the decision, sparking wild celebrations inside Celtic Park.

Moments later, Osmand sealed the victory and title in dramatic style, sprinting from inside his own half before slotting into an empty net after Hearts goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow had pushed forward in a desperate attempt to salvage the title.

At the final whistle, jubilant supporters stormed the pitch as Celtic secured their 14th league title in 15 seasons, a fifth consecutive crown, and a record-breaking 56th league championship overall, moving them ahead of Rangers.

Iheanacho, who came off the bench, made a significant impact during the decisive closing stages. The Nigerian forward struck the post and played a vital role in pinning Hearts back as Celtic intensified pressure before their late breakthrough.

Despite battling recurring hamstring injuries, the 29-year-old finished his first season with eight goals in 22 appearances.

His contributions earned Celtic crucial points throughout the campaign, including a dramatic 98th-minute penalty winner against Motherwell earlier in the week that kept their title hopes alive.

Iheanacho also became Celtic’s highest-scoring Nigerian player during the season.

Interim manager Martin O’Neill guided Celtic to another league triumph, marking his fourth title with the club and his first since 2005 after stabilising the team during a challenging campaign.

Celtic will now shift focus to the Scottish Cup final against Dunfermline Athletic at Hampden Park, where they have the chance to complete a domestic double.

Ahead of kickoff, Iheanacho confirmed that discussions over his long-term future would begin after the season, and his decisive role in Celtic’s title success may have significantly boosted his standing.
