Crisis In Lagos APC: Kosofe Aspirant Dismisses Primary Outcome As Fake.

A House of Representatives aspirant for Kosofe Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Oluremi Oluwalogbon-Odunsi, has rejected the results being circulated from the party’s primary election held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, insisting that no legitimate election took place in the constituency.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oluwalogbon-Odunsi stated that the figures and declarations currently in circulation did not emerge from any officially recognised voting process.

She further alleged that both Mayor Adele Oshinowo and the incumbent representative of the constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, separately declared themselves winners of the contested primary.

In a statement released after the exercise, the aspirant described the situation as a clear violation of the APC’s established guidelines for conducting primary elections.

“I reject the purported results being circulated and announced in respect of the primary election held yesterday,” she said.

According to her, there was no actual voting exercise conducted in Kosofe Federal Constituency on the scheduled date, making any announced results invalid.

She argued that the release of figures and winner declarations despite the absence of a proper electoral process undermined the credibility of the exercise and contradicted the party’s internal democratic principles.

Oluwalogbon-Odunsi called on APC leaders and stakeholders to urgently step in to protect the integrity of the party’s primary process and preserve democratic standards.

She stressed that the APC’s credibility and public image depend heavily on transparent and credible internal elections.

“Accordingly, I do not recognise or accept the purported outcome being circulated. Acknowledging such results would amount to endorsing a process that did not follow due process,” she added.

The aspirant also disclosed that she had already submitted a formal petition and appeal outlining her concerns, observations, and demands to the appropriate party authorities for immediate review.

She expressed confidence that the party leadership would carefully examine the matter and implement necessary corrective measures.

Oluwalogbon-Odunsi further urged APC officials at both state and national levels to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the disputed declarations, insisting that only a transparent review can restore confidence among aspirants, delegates, and party members in Kosofe.

She reaffirmed her loyalty to the APC and its democratic values, maintaining that her stance was intended to strengthen the party rather than create division ahead of the general elections.

As of the time of filing this report, the APC had not officially responded to the allegations.
