Lagos State lawmaker and Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, has publicly apologised to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, over any perceived wrongs arising from his political activities.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that Elliot made the apology on Friday during an appearance on TVC’s Your View, stating that any misunderstanding between them was unintentional.

The development comes amid lingering tensions linked to the leadership crisis in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Gbajabiamila had previously claimed that President Bola Tinubu confronted him over intelligence suggesting Elliot’s involvement in the Assembly speakership dispute, an allegation the lawmaker had earlier denied.

Speaking on the programme, Elliot described Gbajabiamila as his political mentor, saying he learned the fundamentals of politics under his guidance.

He noted that political relationships can sometimes be strained by misunderstandings and human errors, adding that reconciliation was necessary.

Elliot apologised, saying: “To err is human, to forgive is divine. So I’m sorry, my daddy, if I’ve offended you in any way.”

He also extended an apology to the “matriarch of Surulere,” expressing regret for any offence caused.

Despite the apology, Elliot reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) and continuing to serve his constituents in Surulere.

He maintained that his track record in office speaks for itself, noting his efforts toward developing the constituency.

The Lagos Assembly leadership crisis, which previously caused internal friction within the APC, was later resolved following intervention by party leaders.
