Kwankwaso Demands Justice, Compensation For Dadiyata And His Family.

A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has called on the Federal Government to compensate Abubakar Idris Dadiyata and his family, if he is found to still be alive.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Kwankwaso made the call on Saturday while reacting to a recent claim alleging that Dadiyata was killed by some police officers in Kaduna State.

The allegation was made by Musa Muhammad Kamarawa, a former Senior Special Assistant to ex-Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle, who claimed that Dadiyata was killed in his presence.

In a statement shared on , Kwankwaso commended the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, for ordering an investigation into the long-standing disappearance of the activist.

He recalled that since Dadiyata’s abduction in 2019, he and his associates have consistently called for a thorough investigation and justice for those responsible.

Kwankwaso expressed support for the police chief’s decision to launch a comprehensive probe, describing it as a timely and commendable step.

He also urged security agencies to closely monitor individuals named in the allegation to ensure the investigation is not compromised.

Furthermore, he appealed to the government to provide adequate compensation to Dadiyata and his family, if he is eventually confirmed to be alive, or to his family for the trauma suffered over the years.

Kwankwaso also praised members of the public for sustaining advocacy around the case, as well as Barrister Abba Hikima Fagge for his role in bringing renewed attention to the matter.

He expressed hope that the ongoing investigation would finally uncover the truth and deliver justice.

  • The refinery recently lowered its petrol gantry price by ₦50, bringing it to ₦1,125 per litre.

  • Diesel prices (Automotive Gas Oil) saw a ₦100 drop, falling from ₦1,700 to ₦1,600 per litre.
