I Stopped Listening To Burna Boy’s Songs – Mr Eazi Reveals Why.

reports that the “Skin Tight” singer explained that his decision is not driven by any form of rivalry or dislike, but by a desire to protect the originality of his own sound.
Speaking on the Afropolitan Podcast, Mr Eazi said he holds Burna Boy in high regard but chooses to stay away from his songs because of how easily it could influence his creative direction.
He noted that both artists share similar deep vocal textures, which could unintentionally cause his music to begin sounding like Burna Boy’s if he consumes it too often.
According to him, Burna Boy’s distinctive style is powerful enough to subtly shape his approach to recording without him realising it.
Mr Eazi added that he prefers to safeguard his musical identity by limiting exposure to Burna Boy’s catalogue, so as not to drift away from the unique sound that defines his brand.
He said, “I don’t like listening to Burna Boy’s songs. I’ve said it before, I don’t want my music to start sounding like his. I don’t want my sound to drift.”
Despite this, both artistes have worked together in the past on the track Miss You Bad from Mr Eazi’s 2018 project Life Is Eazi, Vol. 2 – Lagos To London.

reports that the footage, which surfaced online in the early hours of Saturday, showed the reality TV star visibly emotional, crying and repeatedly calling for help.
She was also seen with noticeable swelling on her face, while pleading during the livestream for assistance and asking to be allowed to leave the situation.
In the video, she was heard saying, “Please come and help me,” and also, “Come and open the door, I want to be going.”
The clip has since generated strong reactions online, with many fans and social media users expressing worry over her safety and wellbeing.
As of the time of filing this report, Ilebaye and her management team have not released any official statement regarding the incident.

reports that the controversy began on Friday when Seyi Vibez posted a strongly worded message on his account, where he described Adekunle Gold as an “unimpressive” artist with poor style.
“Adekunle Gold, you’re wack, and your swag is wack. Old fool,” he wrote.
Although Seyi Vibez did not give a clear reason for his outburst, many music fans believe the tension may be linked to a line in Adekunle Gold’s recent song Life Of The Faaji.
In the track, Adekunle Gold references his “Fuji” sound and includes a lyric that listeners have interpreted as a subtle nod to Fuji Moto, a title associated with one of Seyi Vibez’s popular songs.
“They love my Fuji/this one no be Fuji Moto,” he sings.
As of the time of this report, Adekunle Gold has not publicly responded to the comments made by Seyi Vibez.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced that fans should not expect new music from him in the near future.
reports that Davido shared this during a recent livestream with Davrel, where he revealed he is taking an indefinite break from releasing music.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Great Day 20 Podcast, Gold said both he and his wife, singer Simi, come from strong musical backgrounds, and their daughter appears to be following the same path. “It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said. The singer noted that Adejare’s interest in music has become increasingly noticeable, adding that she could eventually pursue a career in the industry. During the interview, Adekunle Gold also dismissed rumours circulating online that he and his wife had welcomed twins. He clarified that the couple recently welcomed only a baby boy, describing the reports of twins as false. “My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son,” he said. Adekunle Gold and Simi got married in a private ceremony in January 2019, and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in May 2020.
