Another presidential hopeful, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has also secured the party’s nomination form.

The development was confirmed on Friday by the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in a statement to Saturday Punch.

He said, “Yes, the three of them (Atiku, Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen) have obtained the forms.”

It is understood that the ADC presidential nomination form costs ₦90 million.

Hayatu-Deen received his form from the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, on Friday.

In a statement following the development, the former banker stressed that the 2027 elections must prioritise economic recovery, job creation, security, and reducing the rising cost of living.

He said, “Nigerians are tired of living in fear. They are tired of watching businesses struggle, jobs disappear, and the cost of basic necessities rise beyond what ordinary people can afford.”

“This election cannot be about politics as usual. It must be about how to secure our communities, rebuild confidence in the economy, create jobs at scale, and make life more affordable for millions of Nigerians.”

“We cannot build prosperity in an atmosphere of fear and instability. Security is the foundation upon which every strong economy is built.”

Meanwhile, the ADC has announced that the sale of its expression of interest and nomination forms will run from May 6 to May 13, as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while governorship and state assembly elections will hold on February 6, 2027.

INEC also stated that party primaries and related dispute resolutions will take place between April 23 and May 30, 2026.

According to the commission, campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, while governorship and state assembly campaigns are set to commence on September 9, 2026.
