reports that the decision was reached during a special meeting of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held on Thursday night in Abuja.

According to Vanguard, the meeting reportedly took place shortly after Governor Uzodinma represented APC governors at the presentation of President Bola Tinubu’s nomination and expression of interest forms in Abuja.

Sources familiar with the development disclosed that about 20 APC governors were present at the closed-door meeting, including those from Ogun, Bayelsa, and Enugu states.

The forum said the leadership change is part of efforts to reposition the PGF and enhance cooperation among APC-led states.

However, the development comes amid earlier denials by the forum regarding reports that Governor Uzodinma had been removed as chairman.

The Director General of the PGF, Folorunso Aluko, had described such reports as false, insisting no meeting or resolution had been held to effect any leadership change.
