Breaking: Court Issues New Decision In Heated ADC Leadership Battle.

Justice Emeka Nwite, who is handling suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1819/2025, adjourned the matter after counsel to the plaintiff, Luka Musa Haruna, informed the court that a formal letter had been sent to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court seeking the transfer of the case. The letter was dated May 4, 2026. Before the adjournment, the plaintiff’s counsel also told the court that the Supreme Court had on April 30 dismissed an interlocutory appeal filed by David Mark challenging the proceedings. He added that the apex court also set aside an earlier Court of Appeal order that had halted proceedings in the main case. However, the request for reassignment was strongly opposed by counsel to the defendants. Sulaiman Usman, representing the second defendant, described the application as an attempt at “forum shopping and judge shopping.” Similarly, counsel to the fifth defendant, P.I. Oyewole, accused the plaintiff of attempting to pressure the judiciary into improper conduct. In his ruling, Justice Nwite held that the court could not act on the transfer request without hearing all parties involved, warning that doing so could violate the defendants’ right to fair hearing. He subsequently adjourned the case indefinitely, pending the filing of the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Supreme Court judgment, proper service of the transfer request on all parties, and possible directions from the Chief Judge on the reassignment request. The suit was filed by ADC chieftain Nafiu Bala Gombe, who is asking the court to restrain David Mark, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, and others from parading themselves as leaders of the party, alleging that their emergence violated the party’s constitution and provisions of the Electoral Act.

This setback follows a previous 78-62 loss to Cameroon on Wednesday during their second-round opener, leaving D’Tigers under heavy pressure ahead of a decisive matchup against Cape Verde on Sunday.

Discussing his financial management strategy in an interview with Advocacy for Good Governance, Obi explained that he opposed using state funds to support an un-elected office. He recounted telling his wife that she lacked an electoral mandate and should stay home while he fulfilled his official duties.

This recruitment cycle encompasses the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
Issuing a stern warning against fraudsters, the board emphasized that candidates must not make any payments for shortlisting, document uploading, venue selection, or final placement. Applicants are also strongly advised to ignore scam messages, unverified links, and impostors falsely claiming affiliation with the board.
The recruitment process commenced with online submissions in July 2025, leading up to the Computer-Based Test (CBT) held in November of that same year.
