Real Madrid’s Mbappe Holiday Sparks Backlash Ahead Of Clasico.

Injured Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé has come under increasing scrutiny after taking a trip to Sardinia, with sections of the club’s supporters questioning his dedication just days before the El Clásico against FC Barcelona.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The French forward, who is currently out with a hamstring injury, travelled to Italy during rest days approved by the club for injured players, including Thibaut Courtois and Arda Güler.

A viral image showing Mbappé with a “Fuera (out)” stamp across his face has sparked controversy online. Originally posted by a satirical account, the image quickly spread across comment sections of official Real Madrid CF posts. An online petition has also emerged, calling on fans to “make their voices heard.”

Further attention was drawn after photos surfaced of Mbappé alongside actress Ester Expósito during his stay in Italy, intensifying debate as Real Madrid prepared for a crucial La Liga match against RCD Espanyol.

Real Madrid went on to secure a 2–0 victory, postponing Barcelona’s title celebrations, but discussions surrounding the striker’s conduct continued to dominate headlines.

Head coach Álvaro Arbeloa addressed the situation in comments widely interpreted as a subtle reminder of the club’s standards.

“We didn’t build Real Madrid with players who play in tuxedos, but with players who finish matches with shirts full of sweat and mud, through effort and sacrifice,” he said.

He also added that no individual is bigger than the club, stating: “Real Madrid is a club where, fortunately, no player has ever been, is, or ever will be bigger than Real Madrid.”

Mbappé’s representatives, however, dismissed the criticism, insisting that it stemmed from misinterpretations of his recovery process, which they said is being strictly managed by the club.

“Part of the criticisms are based on an overinterpretation of elements related to a recovery period strictly supervised by the club. This is NOT corresponding to the reality of the commitment and the work that Kylian does daily for the good of the team,” the statement said.

Earlier in the season, Mbappé acknowledged the inevitability of public criticism during an appearance on a podcast hosted by teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni, saying he has learned to focus on staying true to himself.

Despite scoring 41 goals in 41 appearances, scrutiny surrounding the forward has intensified since his return from injury in March.
