‘Obi Can’t Last In ADC’ — Abdullahi Fires, Says Peter Needs One-Man Party To Survive.

The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has alleged that former presidential candidate Peter Obi prefers a political platform dominated by a single individual.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He argued that Obi’s decision to join the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was driven by his inability to function within a competitive coalition where negotiations, compromises, and power-sharing are essential.

Abdullahi made the remarks on Monday during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme.

According to him, the former Anambra State governor was seeking a party structure controlled by one person, where securing the presidential ticket would be straightforward and free from intense internal negotiations.

“The kind of party Peter Obi wanted is the one he has now joined — a party owned by one man, where he can be assured of the ticket before even coming in,” Abdullahi said.

He added that within a coalition like the ADC, no aspirant could be taken for granted because multiple interests must be balanced, and agreements require continuous negotiations to keep all stakeholders united, even when some do not get their preferred outcomes.

“In a coalition where several negotiations must happen, where no one can simply impose their will, and where everyone’s interest has to be carefully managed, I don’t think Peter Obi can thrive in that kind of setting. That is why he moved to the NDC, because they can guarantee him the ticket,” he stated.

Abdullahi further claimed that Obi’s ambitions extended beyond securing the ADC presidential ticket, alleging that he also wanted the power to personally select his running mate.

While expressing disappointment over Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso’s departure from the party, the ADC spokesman admitted that their exit had also eased pressure on the party.

“Personally, I’m not happy they left, but in some ways, it has also brought relief. Now we can concentrate fully on our mission without the intense pressure they were putting on us,” he added.

Senate Breaks Silence On Alleged ₦68 Million Bribe Linked To Kingibe.

The Nigerian Senate has stated that it is not aware of any allegation involving a reported ₦68 million transaction linked to the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ireti Kingibe.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that the clarification comes after claims by businessman Nonso Okafor, who alleged that he was persuaded in October 2024 to release $100,000 through a senior legislative aide to the lawmaker, identified as Osereme Christen Omofoma.

Okafor claimed he was assured that the funds would either be refunded or offset through the allocation of federal government contracts.

He later, through his lawyer Elochukwu Obi, submitted a petition to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), requesting a formal investigation into the matter.

The senator involved has already denied the allegations, describing them as false and an attempt to tarnish her reputation. However, Okafor has maintained his position, insisting that his account is accurate.

Reacting to the issue, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, Yemi Adaramodu, said in an interview with Guardian that the Senate has no knowledge of such a case.

He explained that the Senate does not investigate personal transactions or private dealings of lawmakers outside their official legislative duties.

Adaramodu noted that the Senate’s responsibilities are limited to lawmaking, oversight, and representation, and it only acts on issues formally brought before it.

He further stated that allegations of misconduct remain unverified until officially presented for legislative consideration.

According to him: “We don’t have such a case before us. We are not aware of that. We don’t probe into the personal engagement of senators outside the chambers and the National Assembly.

“That’s just an allegation. We don’t have a case like this before us. We can only talk of what is before us. We are concerned about any matter that involves lawmaking, oversight and representation.”

Speaking to Brila FM, the ex-West Bromwich Albion, Stoke City and Cardiff City forward said the club’s high expectations often place attackers under heavy scrutiny and can quickly turn them into scapegoats.

He noted that while he did not single out Manchester United initially, the situation at the club makes life difficult for forwards.

Osaze referenced past experiences of strikers such as Romelu Lukaku, explaining that the demand for immediate results often leads to blame being shifted onto attacking players.

According to him, Osimhen would be better suited to top European clubs with more balanced environments. He mentioned Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid as ideal destinations for the Nigerian striker.

He said Arsenal and Barcelona offer a more stable football culture, while also jokingly referring to Arsenal as a personal favourite due to his family ties. He also described Real Madrid as a strong option for Osimhen’s style of play.

Osaze added that Osimhen’s pace, aerial ability and physical presence make him capable of thriving at the highest level, especially in systems that suit his movement and attacking instincts.

He further explained that Real Madrid’s playing style and pitch dimensions could enhance Osimhen’s strengths, particularly his runs in behind and aerial dominance.

Osimhen is currently on the books of Galatasaray, where he has impressed this season with 13 goals and five assists in 21 league appearances.

He has also contributed seven goals and three assists in 10 UEFA Champions League matches.

reports that Galatasaray recently suffered a setback in their Turkish Super Lig title push after a 4–1 defeat to Samsunspor.

Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has stated that his disagreement with Wizkid is not something he intends to resolve, insisting that the issue is permanent.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that the clash between both artistes began after Wizkid made comments in which he compared himself to Afrobeat icon Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. This followed earlier remarks from Seun, who had cautioned fans against drawing comparisons between Wizkid and his late father.

During an appearance on the Afro Fusion podcast, Seun Kuti was asked whether the two had reconciled or moved past their differences.

He made it clear that the matter remains unsettled and, in his view, irreparable.

According to him, the situation escalated beyond repair because he believes his late father was disrespected. He stressed that once such boundaries are crossed, reconciliation is no longer possible.

Seun added that he has no further comments about Wizkid but maintained that the feud will continue indefinitely.

“My beef with Wizkid is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him but it is on for life. You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that,” he said.
