A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Buba Galadima, has described the Supreme Court ruling on the leadership dispute within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a “booby trap” for members of the opposition coalition.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that Galadima made the remark on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He said the ruling, along with ongoing internal disagreements, had pushed several prominent political figures to leave the ADC for the NDC.

Galadima also used the opportunity to call on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other remaining ADC members to join the NDC, saying it would create a fairer platform to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in future elections.

He stated, “We didn’t leave the ADC until there was a judgment setting a booby trap for everybody within the ADC.”

“This is why we are using this opportunity to call on the remnants of our comrades in the ADC to come to the NDC, where we will have a level playing ground.”

He further appealed directly to Atiku, urging him to “jump ship” and join the NDC to ensure equal political competition among all aspirants.

Galadima’s comments come a day after reports that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso, had joined the NDC.
