The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dismissed a result slip circulating online, which claimed that a Cross River State candidate scored 394 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that the result went viral on social media after it was alleged that a female candidate identified as Okon Winniefred Sampson recorded near-perfect scores across four subjects.

Reacting on Sunday, JAMB, through its spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin, stated that the result is fake and should be disregarded by the public.

He explained that the document being shared does not conform to the official UTME result format, noting that JAMB results are not issued as printable or widely distributable slips, as candidates are only meant to access them through approved platforms.

Benjamin further pointed out that the registration number on the document does not match JAMB’s official numbering system, adding that this and other inconsistencies clearly indicate that the result is fraudulent.

The board warned that the spread of such false information could mislead the public and urged Nigerians to always verify examination results through authorised channels.

It reiterated that UTME results are currently only accessible via official verification methods and not through downloadable or shareable result slips.
