The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, after days of uncertainty over his detention.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The court approved his release on self-recognition, with a condition that he must submit his international passport.

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, confirmed the development on Friday after attending the court session.

“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, also known as Blord, on self-recognizance, but the court directed him to deposit his international passport,” Sowore stated.

Blord’s bail comes amid controversy surrounding his detention by the Nigeria Police Force, particularly officers of the National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja.

According to Sahara Reporters, there were allegations of misconduct and abuse of power, including claims that a video of him in custody was leaked.

Sources alleged that the footage was shared with social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, and may have been staged to portray the entrepreneur in a humiliating manner.

Further claims suggested a coordinated attempt to publicly ridicule him, though the situation reportedly changed after the court declined to remand him at the cybercrime facility.

Instead, he was transferred to the Kuje Correctional Centre, a move said to have disrupted the alleged plan.

Witnesses also claimed that the activist trailed the prison van conveying Blord to Kuje while live-streaming and mocking him.

Ogala had recently expressed fears over alleged plans to keep her in detention, warning that such moves could threaten her freedom and undermine her political ambition ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Reality TV star and comedian DeeOne confirmed her reported detention in a post shared on his X account on Wednesday.

According to DeeOne, Ogala will remain in custody until a date is fixed for her bail hearing in the ongoing legal dispute involving Pastor Chris Okafor.

“Doris Ogala has just been remanded in Ikoyi Prison till she can get a date for her bail hearing,” he wrote.

Ogala has been embroiled in a legal dispute with Pastor Okafor following her public criticism of the cleric after his pre-wedding photographs surfaced online.

The actress had claimed that she was romantically involved with the pastor and that he had promised to marry her before allegedly ending their relationship for another woman.
