The Delta State Police Command confirmed receiving a petition on the matter, stating that preliminary steps have begun pending statements from complainants.

The case follows accusations that she allegedly falsified a cancer diagnosis and used a doctored medical report to solicit donations from the public.

Police spokesperson Edefa Bright said the command is awaiting formal statements from petitioners before proceeding with a full investigation.

Similarly, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed that the agency has received a petition and will examine the allegations before deciding on further action.

The controversy began after Blessing CEO claimed she was battling cancer, a claim that generated public sympathy and support.

However, inconsistencies in her story sparked backlash, with critics questioning the authenticity of the diagnosis.

The Nigerian Medical Association in Delta State also disowned the medical report linked to her, stating it was originally issued to another patient, a breast cancer survivor identified as Deborah Mbara.

Mbara later accused the influencer of altering her medical document to solicit donations from the public.
