In an interview on the online show Young and Healthy Bros, hosted by content creator Egungun, Blessing explained that confusion around her diagnosis arose from miscommunication. She revealed that she has only received her biopsy results and has not yet started chemotherapy, with further tests needed to determine the exact stage of the cancer.
She stated, “I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication. I just received my biopsy results. Initially, the lump was thought to be non-cancerous, but later tests showed it was cancerous. I haven’t started chemotherapy yet, and I’m still waiting for further tests.”
Blessing also addressed fundraising rumors, clarifying that the amount raised was 13 million naira, not hundreds of millions as speculated. She added, “I will not post my results online because it’s personal, and I don’t owe anyone an apology. I’m just sharing what my doctors tell me.”
Emphasizing her cautious approach, she said, “I just want to be sure about what I am doing. I’m not a doctor; I’m only sharing updates I receive from them.”
