The Palm Sunday incident, reportedly carried out by armed militants, has reignited public outrage over claims that Christians are being specifically targeted in parts of Nigeria.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Portable expressed disappointment at what he described as the silence of church leaders. He questioned why pastors have not taken stronger actions or spoken out forcefully despite repeated attacks on their congregations.

The singer also condemned religious leaders for prioritizing their own safety while their followers face life-threatening danger. He urged pastors to take a more active role in defending their members, including leading public demonstrations to highlight the killings.

Portable further suggested that other religious groups would respond differently if subjected to similar attacks, implying that Christian leaders are not reacting as strongly.

He said: “Why are Nigerian pastors not fighting for Christians? They use bulletproof cars yet their followers are dying. Why can’t pastors lead protests to Aso Rock? You can’t harm a Muslim without chaos. If you kill a traditionalist, there will be crisis. But if you kill a Christian, the pastor looks away while enjoying his car.”
