Former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called fuel subsidy “organized crime” and vowed to eliminate all forms of corruption if elected president.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking in an interview with Trust TV, Obi highlighted discrepancies in Nigeria’s reported fuel consumption, noting that empirical data shows the figures do not match reality.

“Subsidy is organized crime. I will not allow any form of criminality as President of Nigeria,” he said. “The amount of fuel reported to be consumed cannot possibly be accurate. For a country our size, comparable to Pakistan, with similar or fewer vehicles, our fuel consumption is far higher. Who is taking the rest?”

In related political news, the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ben Nwoye, stated that the party is preparing to counter Peter Obi’s influence ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking on Channels Television, Nwoye acknowledged the impact of the Obidient Movement in the previous election and vowed that APC would actively challenge Obi’s political reach.
