I Swear By Allah I Would Have Contested Against Bago If Not For Zoning – Musa.
Senator Mohammed Sani Musa of Niger East Senatorial District has revealed that he would have contested the governorship in 2027 if not for the zoning arrangement.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
He made this statement while launching his foreign scholarship program for constituents at the APC secretariat opposite the State Old Secretariat in Minna.
Musa lamented that the zoning policy prevents him from challenging the incumbent Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago.
He said, “We are one broom. But who are the people building APC? Am I not one of those building the party? Our party does not stop anyone from contesting. Today, I swear by Allah, if not for the zoning of the governorship seat, I would have contested.”
The senator also accused some individuals he had previously helped to win elections of attempting to discredit him, insisting that he remains the strongest APC politician in the state.
His remarks come weeks after Governor Bago told APC supporters in the Suleja Emirate that they should consider replacing Musa if he fails to serve their interests. In a viral video, the governor said: “313,” referring to Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, “it is compulsory for you to do well. If he fails to do well for you, we should change him. But if he improves, we should support him, and I know he will.”
