Asked to provide specific socio-economic improvements under President Bola Tinubu, Ajiboye declined to cite concrete data, instead remarking that the journalist was “always in the studio” and likely did not know what is happening in the country.

He added that, given Nigeria’s state before the 2023 elections, bold reforms under Tinubu were inevitable.

“Just because you’re always in the studio, you probably don’t know what is going on in Nigeria,” he said.

Ajiboye later highlighted some positive initiatives by the ruling party but did not provide measurable improvements in areas such as life expectancy, maternal mortality, childhood education, poverty, and health outcomes.

He also criticized the previous Buhari administration, attributing Nigeria’s prior economic challenges to “ballooning borrowings, indiscriminate subsidy payments, and the injection of N30 trillion into the economy,” which, he said, worsened poverty and strained social protection systems.
