Bala Mohammed, Seyi Makinde, Seriake Dickson Move To Team Up With ADC To Challenge Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Political realignments may be emerging ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is reportedly in talks with leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to build a stronger opposition coalition.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sources within the ADC said the move is part of a broader strategy to create a formidable platform capable of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Insiders revealed that discussions involve key NDC figures, including former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson, alongside other influential political actors. Some members of the Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are also said to be considering aligning with the NDC, aimed at strengthening the opposition ahead of the next elections.

A senior ADC insider explained that the arrangement would allow opposition leaders to negotiate collectively with the ADC rather than as individuals.

“We have confirmed that Makinde and Dickson are not working for President Bola Tinubu. Some other PDP leaders allied with Makinde will also move to the NDC, forming a stronger opposition bloc that can negotiate with the ADC,” the source said.

The insider added that Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has hesitated to defect to the APC due to his association with key leaders in the opposition coalition, including Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Makinde, and Dickson.

The source said the ultimate goal of the coalition is to create a unified political force capable of defeating President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

“Our collective aim is to end Tinubu’s administration, which has, in our view, worsened poverty for millions of Nigerians. We must work together and accommodate each other’s interests,” the source said.

Meanwhile, the APC has downplayed the alliance and the reported defection of Kwankwaso. APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru said the former Kano State governor does not pose a significant threat to President Tinubu’s re-election.

“Kwankwaso can join any party he chooses—that’s democracy. But he is not a threat to us or to President Tinubu’s second term,” Basiru said, questioning Kwankwaso’s electoral influence and highlighting his limited success in previous elections.

Basiru added that the APC remains focused on governance and is unconcerned about potential opposition defections.

“We Will Rig You!”: Peter Obi Issues Explosive Warning To INEC Over Alleged Election Manipulation!.

Published

During a recent visit to Washington, D.C., Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), argued that the prevalence of election rigging in Nigeria is largely due to voters failing to actively defend their ballots. Obi emphasized that while candidates play a role in the process, credible outcomes ultimately depend on citizens remaining at their polling units to ensure votes are counted transparently. He criticized the “transactional” nature of Nigerian politics, suggesting that many voters prioritize other activities over the essential task of monitoring the electoral process. According to Obi, Nigeria’s primary challenge is poor political leadership, and he urged citizens to take collective ownership of their votes to demand the accountable governance required for the country to succeed.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for increased citizen involvement in protecting electoral integrity. During a recent trip to Washington, D.C., Obi stated that election manipulation persists because voters frequently leave polling stations before the counting process is completed. He argued that:

  • Voters must proactively defend their ballots at polling units to ensure transparency and prevent rigging.

  • Nigeria’s fundamental obstacle is a crisis of political leadership, rather than a lack of natural or human resources.

  • Real change requires Nigerians to move beyond passive participation and take active responsibility for the electoral process.

  • Call for Unity: The Minister urged Nigerians to prioritize national interest over partisan politics, noting that insecurity is not a tool for scoring political points.
