Shock In Lecture Hall: Students Stunned As Lecturer D!es Mid-Class.
Students of Kogi State Polytechnic were thrown into mourning on Thursday following the sudden death of lecturer Anslem Ojodomo.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Ojodomo’s passing comes barely a month after another lecturer, Barnabas Akuba, died in February shortly after completing his PhD programme.
A source within the school told Vanguard that Ojodomo collapsed and died while delivering a lecture to students. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was confirmed dead despite medical efforts to save him.
“The incident occurred during a classroom session. The lecturer suddenly slumped while addressing the students, throwing the class into confusion and panic. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but was later confirmed dead despite efforts by medical personnel,” the source said.
Another staff member noted growing apprehension within the school community, as Ojodomo’s death marks the third in six weeks since the new Rector, Prof. Salihu Sanusi, assumed office on February 11.
“It is even more concerning that both Anslem and Barnabas died after defending their PhD theses. Anslem was in a meeting just hours before going for the lecture. We cannot imagine that a man who was so full of life is now gone,” the staff member added.
As of the time of reporting, the management of Kogi State Polytechnic had not issued an official statement on the incident.
