The suspension was announced after Dagogo reportedly approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to halt the APC’s planned convention.

Dagogo had claimed that he was unfairly barred from contesting the position of National Vice-Chairman (South-South), despite paying ₦5.1 million for the nomination form, which he alleged the party never issued to him.

In his lawsuit, he requested that the court suspend the South-South zonal congress, declare him eligible to contest, nullify any election conducted without his participation, and award him ₦100 million in damages.

However, the Ward 4 executive committee described Dagogo’s actions as gross misconduct and anti-party behavior.

The suspension notice was conveyed by Ward Chairman Richard Ibani following a committee meeting held on March 16 and signed by Ward Secretary Donald Jumbo and 21 other committee members.

According to the ward leadership, Dagogo violated the APC Constitution, engaged in anti-party activities, and made statements capable of embarrassing the party, contravening Article 21.2 (I), (II), and (VII) of the 2022 Constitution (as amended).

The statement read in part: “The ward exco has always advised members to desist from actions that ridicule our party, but your recent actions show a disregard for the constitution and decisions of our great party.”

The suspension takes immediate effect, and the ward leaders have called on the state secretariat to endorse the resolution and implement the necessary actions.

He warned against dragging the state into fresh tension, accusing the state government of attempting to revive old allegations for political advantage.

Adewara said the PDP would not remain silent while what he called “political narratives” are used to influence public perception around a tragic incident that claimed multiple lives in Offa in 2018.
