“What Governors Discussed With Tinubu Till 2AM – Gov Sule Reveals”.
The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has disclosed that governors met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos to deliberate on pressing security issues and strategize ahead of the upcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) convention.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
He made this known on Monday during his investiture as Patron of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in Abuja.
Sule explained that the meeting with the President followed a tight schedule that also influenced the relocation of his investiture ceremony from Lafia to Abuja.
“Let me first apologise to the good people of Nasarawa, especially our leaders, for hosting this event in Abuja instead of Lafia. The reason is due to our demanding schedule,” he said.
“Yesterday, most governors were in Lagos for a meeting with Mr President. After lunch, we had an extensive session, particularly on security matters, which we presented to him.”
He added that discussions extended late into the night, as governors also held internal deliberations in preparation for the APC convention.
“We also had our usual long meetings among governors, which continued late into the night as part of preparations for the APC convention. The discussions lasted until after 2 a.m.,” Sule revealed.
According to him, the demanding schedule made it impractical to return to Lafia, prompting a last-minute decision to move the investiture ceremony to Abuja.
“I realised it would be difficult to make it back to Lafia, so I appealed for the event to be held in Abuja, and that request was granted. I appreciate our friend who made the venue available for this occasion,” he added.
