The presidency has revealed that the ongoing security challenges across the country are causing President Bola Tinubu serious concern.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North-West), Abdulillahi Yakassai, made this known during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Tuesday.

Yakassai explained that tackling insecurity has become more difficult as insurgents have shifted to guerrilla-style tactics.

According to him, “The security situation in some parts of the country has improved, but new tactics are emerging, like what we recently saw in Kwara State, which is very unfortunate.”

He added that the President is deeply worried about the situation, noting that “every week, he convenes security council meetings at the Presidential Villa to find solutions to the insecurity.”

Yakassai stressed that the crisis has persisted for years and should not be blamed solely on the current administration. He also suggested that certain elements may be deliberately fueling insecurity to discredit the government.

“You can’t always tell where these attacks are coming from. There are forces working against the government, trying to create instability and give it a bad image,” he said.

He, however, pointed out that insecurity has reduced in some previously troubled areas, including the Abuja-Kaduna axis and parts of Zamfara State.

Despite this progress, he noted that attackers have changed strategies and shifted operations to other locations such as Niger State and Kwara State.

Yakassai added that following the appointment of a new Inspector General of Police, one of his first actions was to visit affected areas in Kwara, including Kaiama.

He maintained that the government remains committed to tackling insecurity and restoring peace across the country.

“We Will Rig You!”: Peter Obi Issues Explosive Warning To INEC Over Alleged Election Manipulation!.

Published

on

During a recent visit to Washington, D.C., Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), argued that the prevalence of election rigging in Nigeria is largely due to voters failing to actively defend their ballots. Obi emphasized that while candidates play a role in the process, credible outcomes ultimately depend on citizens remaining at their polling units to ensure votes are counted transparently. He criticized the “transactional” nature of Nigerian politics, suggesting that many voters prioritize other activities over the essential task of monitoring the electoral process. According to Obi, Nigeria’s primary challenge is poor political leadership, and he urged citizens to take collective ownership of their votes to demand the accountable governance required for the country to succeed.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for increased citizen involvement in protecting electoral integrity. During a recent trip to Washington, D.C., Obi stated that election manipulation persists because voters frequently leave polling stations before the counting process is completed. He argued that:

  • Voters must proactively defend their ballots at polling units to ensure transparency and prevent rigging.

  • Nigeria’s fundamental obstacle is a crisis of political leadership, rather than a lack of natural or human resources.

  • Real change requires Nigerians to move beyond passive participation and take active responsibility for the electoral process.
