In a statement on Monday, the billionaire stressed that his success was built through entrepreneurship and strategic investments, and that he has never held public office or benefited from government patronage.
Cubana said his goal is to bridge the gap between government and citizens, especially young people, and to encourage transparency, accountability, and empathy at all levels of governance.
He also dismissed recent criticisms about his comments on the Igbo people, stressing he would never undermine any ethnic group, and urged Nigerians to focus on policies and collective progress rather than divisive narratives.
About his City Boy Movement, Cubana said it seeks to boost youth and private-sector participation in politics, emphasizing that political engagement should be about ideas, not ethnicity.
“Governance must work for the people, across all levels. Our focus should be on ideas, policies, and collective progress, not divisive narratives,” he said.
