Kalu highlighted the administration’s commitment to engaging young Nigerians through strategic appointments and policies aimed at empowering them.

“The strength of this administration lies in the deliberate effort by the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to identify and nurture talents among the youth,” he said.

“Beyond the mandate of the City Boy Movement, he is raising a new generation of leaders for Nigeria’s future. Just look at the composition of his Federal Executive Council; many of the ministers are talented young Nigerians, and they are making the country proud.

“It takes a leader with foresight to invest in the next generation, ensuring that they are ready to take the baton when the time comes. President Tinubu is building a legacy, not seeking applause. Against conventional views that youths lack leadership capacity, he has deliberately invested in them to prepare them for future responsibilities.”

Kalu urged young Nigerians to seize opportunities, stressing that leadership is reserved for those actively engaged and ready to serve. “Batons are not handed to spectators. Only those who make themselves available and prepared will inherit them. That is the essence of the City Boy Movement.

“Many believe the City Boy Movement exists only for Mr. President’s re-election. It is more than that; it is a platform to identify and develop talented youths across the country who can assume leadership roles and contribute to national growth.”

On the 2027 elections, Kalu said: “It is a done deal. We will campaign based on policies and tangible projects. In the recent FCT Council elections, we relied on the visible work of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as our campaign ‘poster.’ Facts speak louder than jingles and interviews.”

Kalu also highlighted the role of his Renewed Hope Partners, a support group for the President, in projecting the administration’s achievements to the grassroots.

“About a year ago, I launched Renewed Hope Partners to showcase the work of Mr. President and mobilize support, particularly in Abia State. We are partnering with the City Boy Movement, which I intend to support fully. Abia’s chapter will be among the strongest in the South East,” he said.

Gbenjo’s warning comes amid growing controversy surrounding the late singer’s death and burial arrangements, with reports of disagreements among members of his family.

The gospel singer spoke on Tuesday during a night of tributes held in honour of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State. He warned against allowing the situation to degenerate into a controversy similar to the one that followed the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.

Describing the deceased as a devoted Christian and a genuine servant of God, Gbenjo said Toluwanisings was passionate about his faith and had a good relationship with people.

He urged the public to stop fuelling unnecessary controversy over the late singer’s death, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

“You can never see Toluwani in the midst of jobless people. He had a good heart. He was a friend to everybody. He served the Lord with all his heart. Don’t turn Toluwani into Mohbad. That madness on TikTok and Instagram must stop. If you are jobless, go and look for a job,” Gbenjo said.

Meanwhile, comedians Ayobami Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, and Olamide Oladimeji, also known as Dele Omo Woli, have threatened legal action against individuals allegedly linking them to Toluwanisings’ death.

In the notice issued by their solicitors, Gemgold, the comedians warned members of the public against publishing or circulating allegations they described as false and defamatory against them.
