Music producer Igbinoba Osaze, popularly known as Ozedikus Nwanne, has opened up about his transition from gospel music to mainstream production.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In an interview with Punch, Ozedikus explained that while gospel music laid the foundation for his career, it was not financially sustainable. Playing piano for churches and bands brought some income, but he realised secular music offered greater opportunities for growth and earnings.

He recalled working for months without pay, including playing for a church for about eight months, relying on production as his main source of livelihood.

Around 2017, Ozedikus fully committed to music production, navigating creative differences and balancing both business and artistic responsibilities before eventually hiring a manager to help organise his work.

“I started out connected to gospel music, so most of the artists around me were gospel acts. But many of them weren’t recording in studios, and starting required funds I didn’t have. I had to go where the money was,” he said.

“My main income initially came from playing the piano with bands and in church. Despite playing for a church for eight months without pay, I survived because production was sustaining me. Around 2017, I fully transitioned into production. Before things picked up, it was really hard and exhausting.”

Speaking to The Independent, Usyk praised Joshua’s commitment in camp, describing him as highly focused and determined.

He also called for continued support for Joshua during a difficult phase in his career, urging fans not to turn against fighters during setbacks, but to stand by them as part of the sport.

Usyk acknowledged that Joshua is nearing a full return but stressed the need for patience as he continues recovery.

Usyk himself is preparing for his own upcoming bout scheduled for May 23 in Egypt, where he will face kickboxing star Rico Verhoeven.
