Shiddi cited concerns over the current political climate and its potential impact on his career and constituents in Taraba State as reasons for his decision.
He submitted his resignation letter on March 18, 2026, to the chairman of Puje Ward in Wukari Local Government Area, explaining that continuing with the party no longer aligned with his strategic objectives.
Reflecting on his time with the ADC, Shiddi expressed gratitude for the relationships he built and the support he received during his membership. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving his community and said he must now follow a path that allows him to represent his constituents more effectively.
He requested that his name be removed from the ADC membership records and wished the party success in its future endeavors. Copies of his resignation were forwarded to the Wukari Council chairman, the state ADC chairman in Taraba, and the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
