Sensitive details, including Chelsea’s starting lineup, were widely reported in French media before the first leg in Paris. Similar accurate leaks surfaced before the return fixture, revealing that Wesley Fofana would not start, with Trevoh Chalobah and Jorrel Hato pairing in central defence.

Following the incidents, Chelsea launched an internal probe and have now identified the source, although it was not traced to any player. The controversy came during a disappointing European campaign for Chelsea, which ended in an 8-2 aggregate loss to PSG. After the defeat, captain Enzo Fernández sparked speculation about his future with comments that were later clarified.

Rosenior revealed he held detailed talks with the midfielder, stressing that Fernández remains committed to the club and is eager to help the team succeed, noting that his earlier remarks were misinterpreted.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also contending with injury concerns ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton. Chalobah is set to be sidelined for several weeks with an ankle injury, though it is not as severe as initially feared. Goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen is also unavailable after minor groin surgery, while captain Reece James will miss the match due to a hamstring issue, which is not considered serious.
